What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, Minimum 5 years of experience in General Ledger accounting, technical knowledge of IFRS and/or local GAAP, Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e. g. , SAP, Oracle), Advanced MS Excel skills, Proven experience with month-end/year-end closing processes and complex reconciliations, analytical and problem-solving skills, Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders, Professional working proficiency in Englishwith proven ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting, Proactive, detail-oriented approach, and ability to work independently
Nice to Have
Professional working proficiency in German with proven ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting
What You'll Do.
Managing end-to-end General Ledger accounting processes
including complex journal entries
and reclassifications
Overseeing and ensuring the accuracy of month-end
and year-end closing activities
Performing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
including the resolution of complex or aged items
Acting as a subject matter expert for GL accounting
providing guidance and technical support to the team and stakeholders
Ensuring compliance with IFRS
and internal policies
Identifying opportunities for process optimization and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborating with internal and external auditors during audit processes
Supporting and mentoring junior team members in their professional development
Participating in or leading projects related to system implementations
or process transitions
