A day in the life As the General Manager, Engineering – Group Software Platform, you'll shape the foundations that enable engineering teams across PEXA to do their best work. Your days will be varied, strategic and hands-on. You might start by reviewing platform performance and reliability metrics, then meet with engineering leaders to understand where teams are experiencing friction and identify opportunities to improve developer experience. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to set priorities for platform services, infrastructure and engineering standards, ensuring they support our products today and scale for tomorrow. You'll lead and inspire a high-performing team of engineering leaders, creating an environment where people can thrive, innovate and grow. You'll champion modern engineering practices, observability, resilience and automation, while balancing performance, reliability and cost outcomes. You'll also collaborate with external partners and vendors, influence technology decisions across the organisation, and stay ahead of emerging trends in cloud, platform engineering and AI-enabled software development.
