Full Job Description
**SUMMARY** Reporting to the Mill Supervisor, the General Labourer packs, ties, labels, counts and identifies wood using various handling equipment. **Main duties** · Operate wood handling equipment on the stacking line. · Piling lumber by hand. · Band and wrap lumber. · Maintain a clean and organized workstation and yard. · Adhere to all workplace safety rules and regulations. · Adhere to customer service commitments. · Other duties as assigned. **Knowledge, skills and abilities** * Attention to detail * Able to count and identify wood products of various sizes. * Must have own steel-toe boots. * Basic math skills. * Able to lift up to 50 pounds or 23 kilograms, and heavier weights as required * Must be able to speak, read and write English **Requirements** **Education** * High school diploma is an asset **Employment Status** * Permanent full-time **Benefits** **Compensation** * $19.74/hr as per Schedules A & B of the Collective Agreement with the United Steel Workers * Overtime may be available * Health benefits **Working hours** * Monday to Friday * 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. * Must be flexible with start and finish times. **Work Location: **2916 Rockingham Rd, Combermere, ON K0J 1L0 **Note:** Must have own reliable transportation.
