Full Job Description
Working closely with the Assistant Chief Engineer, the General Engineer will play an important role by becoming thoroughly familiar with all phases of operation and maintenance necessary to operate the fire alarm system and repair all kitchen equipment, walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, boilers, water heaters, pumps, and plumbing. Performs all repairs, maintenance, and replacement of parts for preventative maintenance schedule and accurately records all pertinent data. Install new equipment and systems as directed. Maintain the facility through preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other related systems. **Core Responsibilities:** * Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other related systems. * Troubleshoot problems with systems and take appropriate corrective action. * Respond to emergency situations such as fire, power outage, gas or water leaks. * Maintain equipment with standard preventative maintenance procedures. * Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment. * Maintain records on all equipment maintenance and repair. * Basic knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration system repair. * Must be EPA certified. * Other duties as assigned by management. **Qualifications:** * Must be at least 21 years of age. * Must have a valid Nevada driver's license. * Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management. * Must be able to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts. **Preferred:** * Trade school graduate or equivalent experience. * Three (3) years of experience in a commercial or industrial setting preferred. * Minimum 2 years’ experience in Refrigeration required. * Must be able to safely and effectively operate hand and power tools. * Must be able to read, comprehend, and apply technical material, schematics, and blueprints. * Basic knowledge of Health Department, ADA, and OSHA codes a
