Full Job Description
## SUMMARY The Gauger is responsible for performing inspection work in petroleum and petrochemical terminals, refineries, and aboard ships and barges. The role involves sampling, measurement, supervision, and quality control of petroleum products in accordance with industry standards and guidelines established by API, ISO and Saybolt. ## DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Collect samples of petroleum products from cargo tanks on ships, shore tanks, and railway tank cars. * Properly label and transport samples to chemical laboratories for analysis. * Measure and record the quantity of goods in shore tanks. * Inspect and verify the cleanliness of rail tankers before loading. * Determine the degree of filling in rail tank cars and seal tank car valves. * Oversee the reloading process for liquid, bulk, and loose goods, including BB counting. * Supervise the weighing of goods using rail and truck scales. * Work within a task-based system to ensure efficient operations. * Comply with safety regulations and company policies. * Continuously update knowledge and skills within the field. * To always respect and protect company and client confidentiality. * Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to operational excellence. ## ## QUALIFICATIONS * Primary or secondary education. * Experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory. * Valid Category B driver’s license. * Ability to communicate effectively with third parties on business matters. * Capability to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues. ## KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES * Willingness and availability to travel as required. * Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. * High levels of conscientiousness, honesty, and punctuality. * Basic English communication skills are an advantage. * Willingness to participate in training courses as required. * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. ## COMPETENCIES * **Execution Excel
