What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Experience in garment manufacturing, sourcing, or production, preferably in a multi-product supplier or at a retailer (buying, merchandising, or product development)., ability to present ideas, trends, or reports effectively to stakeholders., Excellent organizational and negotiation skills with experience managing multiple suppliers., Good knowledge of Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Nice to Have
Understanding of PLM systems and production tracking would be a plus.
What You'll Do.
Supporting the drive to position ASOS globally as a leading Fashion brand through garment development
trend adaptation & sustainability initiatives.
Managing the critical path from end to end.
Working closely with factories
garment manufacturers
and suppliers to negotiate the best prices
and quality standards.
Coordinating with buying and design teams to organize buying trips in collaboration with suppliers.
Ensuring product quality and working with the technical team by reviewing fits
and fabric performance
taking proactive measures to solve production issues for ontime shipment.
Supporting and offering ideas for new production processes & best practices aligned with ASOS’s Commercial Strategy and Sustainability goals.
Researching & presenting regular trend updates
sourcing new manufacturing techniques
and embellishments as appropriate ahead of the season.
Collaborating with the Sustainability and Ethical Teams to work towards the targets and maintain full transparency of production origins.
