Must Have
Physical ability to do required work, one year of experience or training involving grounds maintenance, plant care, cultivation and landscape installation, Valid Washington State Driver’s License, Ability to lift/move 50 pounds, Ability to secure valid CPR, AED, and First Aid certificate within six months of hire, Ability to secure valid Washington State Traffic Control Flagger certification within six months of hire

What You'll Do.
Perform skilled tasks requiring knowledge of sustainable and organic gardening practices and ecological restoration
removal of invasive species
equipment operation and maintenance
planting wetlands plants
monitoring and reporting maintenance tasks
blowing and/or sweeping regional trail
trash picking and litter control
Perform invasive plant and pest control
Prepare sites and soils for planting
Plant propagation in the field and greenhouse
Maintain greenhouse and nursery plant material
Apply organic fertilizers
Use a variety of hand tools
Operate power and motorized equipment
and maintain tools and equipment
Hazardous Waste Clean-Up: Sharps disposal
Remove snow and ice from areas such as sidewalks

The primary function of this position will be to perform skilled tasks requiring knowledge of sustainable and organic gardening practices and ecological restoration, which includes but is not limited to the following tasks: removal of invasive species, pulling, digging up, and cutting weeds, weed-eating, equipment operation and maintenance, planting wetlands plants, monitoring and reporting maintenance tasks, blowing and/or sweeping regional trail, signage maintenance, trash picking and litter control. **JOB DUTIES:** * Perform invasive plant and pest control * Prepare sites and soils for planting * Plant seeds, annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees * Prune plant material * Plant propagation in the field and greenhouse * Maintain greenhouse and nursery plant material * Apply organic fertilizers, compost tea, and soil inoculants * Use a variety of hand tools such as pruning shears, rakes, shovels, hoes, pitchforks, and hand saws * Operate power and motorized equipment such as line trimmers, chain saws, backpack blowers, mowers, pressure washers, utility vehicles, tractors, trucks, lift
