Graduated from accredited school of mortuary science, Current Funeral Director license, Valid state driver’s license

What You'll Do.
Facilitate funeral arrangement discussions
Preside over services
Ensure compliance with regulations
Receive or initiate calls to next of kin
Obtain or confirm deceased and family information
Schedule arrangement appointments
Perform removals or transfers
Care for deceased respectfully
Update removal status
Facilitate Arrangements Conference
Summarize desired outcomes
Discuss life insurance and benefits
Promote funeral services and merchandise
Transition conference to counselor
Perform counselor responsibilities
Review and authorize contract revisions
Confirm authorization to proceed
Serve as Master of Ceremonies
Be present for graveside services
Verify personal belongings removed
Visually inspect deceased
Adjust casket dressing
Communicate concerns to preparation staff
Visually inspect services arrangements
Initiate corrective action
Provide instruction or guidance
Fulfill death care requests
Obtain leads for pre-need services
Perform event planning responsibilities
Plan and order flowers
Plan and order catering
Create electronic presentations
Create on-line memorials
Identify property in need of repair
Courier family memorabilia
Perform attendant duties
Represent and promote location
