Eligibility Requirements

Work is both indoors and outdoors during all seasons and weather, Professional business attire required when in contact with families, Frequent continuous period of time sitting or standing up to 6 hours per frequently climbing stairs to access buildings, Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is required, includes paperwork, calculators, computers and phone usage, Ability to push and pull up to 150 pounds on flat and inclined flooring or ramps, Flexibility of availability may be necessary as services may occur outside of normal business hours and working nights and weekends is frequently necessary

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Current Funeral Director license within the practicing state, Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required to operate company owned vehicles

Nice to Have

Industry experience is preferred

What You'll Do.

Facilitates funeral arrangement discussions with deceased next of kin

Presides over visitation

and graveside services

Ensures compliance with mortuary

and vital statistics regulations

Performs removals or transfers

Updates removal status in proprietary software

Facilitates Arrangements Conference

Assesses needs and summarizes desired outcomes

Discusses available life insurance and benefits

and crematory services and merchandise

Transitions Arrangement Conference to Funeral Services Counselor/Advisor

Reviews and authorizes merchandise and service contract revisions

Confirms authorization to proceed with service Arrangements

Acts as Master of Ceremonies for services

Visually inspects deceased and adjusts presentation

Visually inspects Services Arrangements against contractual arrangements

Initiates corrective action for services

Interacts with the family to fulfill death care requests

Obtains leads for pre-need services

Performs event planning responsibilities

Plans and orders music

Produces MeM products

Orders memorabilia or stationary

Creates electronic presentations

Creates on-line memorials

Cleans event spaces post-event

Stores items properly

Identifies property in need of repair

Delivers family memorabilia

Performs attendant duties (parking lot attendant

Represents and promotes the location or market at community or charity events

Works under general guidance

Applies licensure to business environment

Complies with regulations

Collaborates with peers or manager for assistance and guidance

Exhibits accountability for behaviors

Ensures compliance with local

and federal regulations

Discusses assignments
