What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, Minimum 3 years of experience in the financial services industry, Complex allocation knowledge required, Advent Geneva experience required, Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook & Excel, Ability to understand and troubleshoot complex fund accounting problems
Nice to Have
preferably within a hedge fund accounting role, Demonstrate an understanding of fund level profit & loss characteristics and its implications on investor allocations for various complex fund structures
What You'll Do.
Validate and review all daily activity
Maintain all required controls
Calculate and process fund activities
Support the production of NAV
Support distributions
Support corporate actions
Prepare proofs as needed
Support the review and validation of data
Distribute information to Shared Services
Distribute information to Client Operations
Research and resolve exceptions
Receive and resolve inquiries
Communicate effectively with client
Define ad-hoc requests
Ensure completion of ad-hoc requests
Escalate unresolved issues to management
Reconcile discrepancies
Resolve discrepancies with other teams
Ensure appropriate records are kept
Perform daily reporting functions
Perform weekly reporting functions
Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures
Apply knowledge across team
Assist management in implementation of new policies
Assist management in implementation of new procedures
Participate in projects
Assist with workflow management
Assist with technology enhancements
Make suggestions to streamline operations
Maintain knowledge of current alternative procedures
Maintain knowledge of current processes
Support training of new hires
Identify unusual transaction activity
Identify potentially suspicious transaction activity
Report suspicious transaction activity
Escalate suspicious transaction activity
Perform duties of Associates
Provide back-up management support
Perform other duties as assigned
