We are seeking a technically-proficient Functional Analyst to join our payments technology team. This role is responsible for the functional design and integrity of our payment processing systems. You will translate complex business logic for card, instant payment, and digital wallet services into precise functional and system-level specifications. You will serve as the primary subject matter expert on the payment system's behavior, data flows, and integration points. **_Your responsibilities in our team:_** * Create clear functional and non-functional specs, use cases, sequence/state diagrams. * Define API requirements and data mappings for internal and external integrations. * Configure payment routing, orchestration, fees, and settlement settings. * Specify functional requirements for gateways, processors, fraud systems, and banking partners. * Develop and run API, integration, and end-to-end functional tests and triage defects. * Query databases and analyze transaction data using SQL to validate outputs and troubleshoot issues. * Maintain up-to-date technical-functional documentation and API contracts. **_Your Profile:_** * 3–5+ years as a technical or functional analyst with a focus on payment systems * Deep understanding of the payment lifecycle (authorization, clearing, settlement for cards (EMV), instant payments, and tokenization) * Experience reading and defining API contracts (REST/SOAP) and understanding JSON and XML * Proficient in SQL for data analysis a
