What They're Looking For.
Must Have
4+ years of professional full stack experience shipping and operating production systems, React and TypeScript skills, solid back-end fundamentals (APIs, data modeling, relational databases), Hands-on experience with testing, CI/CD, and basic observability (logs, metrics, alerts), A track record of working on/leading non-trivial migrations or modernization work on a live product, Clear written and verbal communication skills, Practical, daily use of AI tools in your workflow, with the judgment to verify what they produce
Nice to Have
Experience with Ember.js or migrating front-end frameworks, or a polyglot with Front End frameworks, Background in short-term rental, property management, travel, or hospitality tech, Experience operating multi-tenant SaaS at scale, including performance tuning, Familiarity with AWS, Heroku, containers, and infrastructure-as-code, Prior experience formally mentoring other engineers, Familiarity with the Shape Up methodology
