What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience, 2+ years of professional software engineering experience, Proficiency in Java and/or Python, Understanding of containerization and orchestration concepts (Kubernetes), Ability to interview onsite at one of our offices (Seattle, Sunnyvale, or San Diego), Ability to work onsite 4 days per week at one of our office locations

Nice to Have

Experience with test-driven development or pair programming in a professional setting, Experience working in Linux-based environments, Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, preferably Google Cloud, Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments, Experience with Google Cloud Platform services (GKE, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, etc.), Background in IoT, embedded systems, or hardware-adjacent software, Familiarity with RFID or real-time data pipelines, Experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup, Comfort working across areas of a codebase outside your primary background opinions about system design, paired with a genuine openness to other perspectives

What You'll Do.

Build and ship product as part of one of our core engineering teams

Take end-to-end ownership of features

from design and implementation through deployment and monitoring

Practice test-driven development and pair programming as part of your everyday workflow

Deploy and operate services on Google Cloud and Kubernetes
