Services and functionally tests the following FHE after completion of repairs, prior to releasing for use, or upon return to storage. Prepares FHE for storage IAW specific end-item technical data”
What You'll Achieve.
optimize the functional maintenance, accountability, and readiness of War Reserve Materiel (WRM) fuels assets; ensure that all assigned assets are meticulously inspected, stored, and maintained to seamlessly activate and sustain contingency base operations and exercise support
Industry & Context.
Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions, Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment, trucks, forklifts, fuel pumps, hand tools, etc., Must be physically able to operate motor vehicles, Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license, Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust U. S. Government Clearance, U. S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Public Trust Clearance, Government will schedule attendance at FORCE Course within 12 months of employment, if necessary, Requires climbing on ladders, scaffolding, and platforms standing, bending, and working in cramped lifting and carrying tools and equipment which occasionally may weigh over 40 pounds, Specific vision, and the ability to adjust focus, exposed to moving mechanical parts, exposed to wet and/or humid high, precarious fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic outside weather extreme extreme risk and risk of electrical shock, noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment, completing all training requirements, fulfilling all self-aiduddy aid responsibilities, participating in emergency response tasks, serving on safety committees and teams
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High school diploma or equivalent, Two (2) to five (5) years of job-related experience, Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions, Must have experience in the installation, operation, inspection, maintenance, and/or repair of fuel delivery systems, Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment, trucks, forklifts, fuel pumps, hand tools, etc., Must be physically able to operate motor vehicles, Ability to read, speak and write English, Must possess basic mathematical skills, Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license, Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust U. S. Government Clearance, U. S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Public Trust Clearance, Completed Fuels Apprentice Course (J3ABR2F031 00AB), military or commercial equivalent, Completed FORCE Course (J3AZR2F051 05AB) or 5 years’ experience
Nice to Have
National Petroleum Management Association Certified Petroleum Journeyman (CPJ) or equivalent certification is acceptable in place of fuels apprentice training
What You'll Do.
Services and functionally tests the following FHE after completion of repairs
prior to releasing for use
or upon return to storage
Prepares FHE for storage IAW specific end-item technical data
Performs periodic visual and functional inspections on active storage equipment
Performs hydrostatic hose testing
Maintains and monitors the Shelf-life program for all FHE parts
Performs inventory of RSPs and UTC FHE kits
Performs all other work as required by the section or program
