8+ years food safety/QA leadership, RTE food experience, HACCP expertise, FSMA expertise, GMPs expertise, Hygienic zoning expertise, Sanitation systems expertise, Enforce standards, Make high-pressure decisions
What You'll Do.
Act as single point of authority for food
Ensure no contamination pathway exists
Operate as real-time risk controller
Make immediate decisions on product safety
Make immediate decisions on production continuation
Make immediate decisions on release
Define sanitation standards
Approve sanitation effectiveness
Close the gap between what should happen and
Make final decisions on product release
Make final decisions on product hold
Make final decisions on line startup approval
Make final decisions on production shutdowns
Lead escalation and response to deviations
Lead escalation and response to sanitation failures
Lead escalation and response to environmental risks
Define and enforce RAW → RTE separation
Define and enforce personnel and material flow
Define and enforce controlled entry/exit points
Audit zoning behavior daily
Define sanitation expectations
Validate cleaning effectiveness
Reject sanitation that does not meet standard
Own pre-op verification standards
Audit high-risk equipment
Audit repeat issue areas
Ensure no production begins under unsafe conditions
Partner with Micro Lab Manager to interpret trends
Partner with Micro Lab Manager to identify harborage
Lead response to Listeria risks
