Full Job Description
_**What Clinical Services contributes to Cardinal Health**_ Clinical Care Delivery provides high quality, patient-centered care focused on diagnosing, treating and managing care while ensuring the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of the practice. **Job Purpose:** The Patient Service Representative is the first point of contact for patients, and family members in the Comprehensive and Imaging centers. **Responsibilities** · Greet patients and families. · Answer center telephones, distribute faxes, and prepare customer files. · Schedule patient appointments. · Receive and correctly record receipts of patient payments. · Enter, verify and update patient demographic and insurance information. · Obtain insurance verifications (VOB), pre-authorizations and pre-determinations. · Process requests for records from outside sources. · Scan data into document imaging software. · Regular attendance and punctuality. · Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. · Ensures that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved. · Perform any other functions as required by management. **Qualifications** · Medical Office experience, highly preferred · High School Diploma or equivalent, highly preferred · Experience accessing and updating an EMR system · Bilingual in Spanish, highly preferred **Location** cCARE Cancer Center: La Jolla 9850 Genesse Ave., Suite 560 La Jolla, CA 92037 **Anticipated hourly range:** $23.00 per hour - $25.20 per hour **Bonus eligible:** No **Benefits:** Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being. * Medical, dental and vision coverage * Paid time off plan * Health savings account (HSA) * 401k savings plan * Access to wages before pay day with myFlexPay * Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) * Short- and long-term disability coverage * Work-Life resources * Paid parental leave * Healthy lifestyle programs **Application window anticipated to close:** 6/29/2026 *if i
