Full Job Description

As part-time front desk staff at our location in Austin, TX, you will answer phone calls and emails, warmly welcome both current and prospective students and their families, and act as the friendly face of AoPS Academy while classes are in session. Additionally, in this role you will support campus operations by helping take inventory, tidying up the facility, and assisting the full-time staff with other campus procedures to ensure things are running smoothly. The Front Desk Associate will: Serve as campus receptionist; answer the phone, respond to voicemails, and pass on relevant information to the appropriate staff member Warmly welcome both current and prospective students and their families Manage and respond to customer inquiries both by phone and email Maintain multiple calendars, schedule meetings and ensure everything is up-to-date Use internal database to generate reports and lists, and perform data entry tasks Provide admissions assistance as needed with consultation requests, scheduling, and post-consultation follow-ups Organize and prepare classroom and office supplies Take inventory to support campus operations Supervise students between classes Perform light cleaning duties and tidying up the facility Assume responsibility for the organization, operation, and appearance of the lobby and front desk area Assist full-time staff with other campus procedures to ensure things are running smoothly Participate in occasional outreach/inreach opportunities Other duties as assigned The ideal candidate has: Experience confidently interacting with customers; experience interacting with families and students (elementary through high school) preferred Strong organizational and computer skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, and English usage Establish and maintain positive, effective working relationships with students, parents, staff, and the general public Ability to work both independently and collaborativ
