Effectively check guests into and out of the resort by performing the following duties. As the Front Desk Agent, you will provide: * Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests. * Issues room keys and provides escort instructions to bellhops. * Date-stamps, sorts, and racks incoming mail and messages. * Transmits and receives telephone messages. * Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, guest registration, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. * Maintains records of room availability and guest accounts. * Computes bills, collects payment, and makes change for guests. * Makes and confirms reservations. * Posts charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone to the ledger. * Makes restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations and arranges tours. * Assists guests with the deposit of valuables in the hotel safe or safe deposit boxes. * Performs nightly bucket checks. * Listens to guest concerns and identifies appropriate solutions.
