General presentation TransPerfect’s Montreal-based office is looking for English-to-French translators with varying levels of experience (intermediate or senior) in banking and insurance. You will be responsible for the translation and bilingual proofreading of documents for a diverse range of clients. TransPerfect offers the opportunity for hybrid work arrangements from our downtown Montreal location. Job description * Translate and revise high-visibility content within the banking and insurance sectors. * Provide translations tailored to the French-Canadian market using, among other things, idiomatic expressions. * Be a brand ambassador by becoming an extension of the client’s brand within TransPerfect and maintaining brand consistency across all projects. * Use and update translation memories and glossaries. * Manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment. * Keep project managers informed of the status of each project and meet internal and client deadlines. * Perform administrative tasks as needed to support your work and the company’s key performance indicators. * Participate in the training of new team members and freelancers, and provide feedback, as needed. * Act as a representative of the Linguistics Department, by engaging with clients to better understand their preferences, updating style guides, glossaries, instructions, and reference documents, and resolving issues as they arise. * Make recommendations to your supervisor on ways to improve processes as part of TransPerfect’s Montreal office commitment to continuous improvement.
