Full Job Description
OpenEvidence is the most widely used medical AI platform in the world. In just over a year, we've grown to >65% of US clinicians via product-led word of mouth. We are a $12B company with a 30-person engineering team from MIT, Harvard, and Stanford. We believe world-changing products come from a small group of exceptional, autonomous builders, organized along focused objectives and empowered to take individual ownership and run fast. The role We are looking for our first recruiter. It is not a volume role. It is a talent strategy role for someone who believes, as we do, that a single extraordinary hire can change the trajectory of a company, and who wants to personally find and close that hire. You will own the full recruiting lifecycle: sourcing, coordination, and closing. You will build the systems and processes that define how OpenEvidence attracts world-class engineers and scientists. No playbook exists yet. You will write it. Who are you? You are not a recruiter who measures success in req count or time-to-fill. You are someone who thinks deeply about what excellence looks like for a given role, goes to unreasonable lengths to find it, and knows how to convince a top candidate that this is the most important work they could be doing. You are autonomous. You are precise. You are a builder. You have strong opinions about what a great hiring process looks like and the conviction to implement them. You thrive without structure because you create it. If you want to post jobs and work your ATS queue, this is not the role for you. If you measure yourself by volume, this is not the role for you. If you're looking for a process to execute rather than a practice to build, this is not the role for you. What you'll do - Own sourcing, coordination, and closing across engineering, science, and key functions - Build systems and pipelines to identify and attract the best talent in the world - Partner directly with founders to define what exceptional looks like for each hire - M
