ABOUT THE ROLE Notion's Professional Services team owns the most technical customer engagements in Japan, and we're hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer (formerly "Technical Architect") to be the technical owner for our most complex work. You'll partner directly with strategic customers to design and ship migrations, bespoke integrations, and production-grade AI workflows built on Notion Workers, Custom Agents, and MCP. You'll work alongside Account Executives, Solutions Engineers, Customer Success, and Engineering to turn messy requirements into solutions that stick, then turn what you learn into repeatable playbooks and product feedback. This is hands-on building inside real customer environments, not advisory work. This role is based in Tokyo, Japan. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person.
