**About the Role** We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to sit at the critical intersection of our product, our platform, and our customers. You will occupy the central spot in the Venn diagram between Backend Software Engineer, Platform Engineer / SRE, and Solutions Architect. While our core feature development happens globally, you will own the production environment and its successful delivery to our customers. You will dive deep into the codebase to understand, triage, and delegate or fix critical bugs. You will architect tools to improve platform stability and contribute directly to the core product to prevent issues from happening in the first place. You will meet with customers to understand their needs and adapt existing tech or develop new tech to meet those needs. **A Day in the Life** * Solve Customer Issues: You are the first line of defense for complex technical escalations. You will triage reported issues, reproduce them in safe environments, and often fix them yourself. Where the fixes require more work, you will translate production data into reproducible test cases, unblocking the offshore team and keeping our velocity high. You aren't just closing tickets; you are solving the root cause of customer pain. * Ship Core Product Code: You are a builder. You will contribute to our TypeScript/Node.js backend, writing features and refactoring legacy code. You will ensure that "support" issues translate into permanent engineering fixes. * Scale & Optimize: You own the health of the US production environment.
