1 year prior experience in a medical records department or like setting, computer software experience: general working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel, Excellent organizational skills, must be able to multi-task, Must be able to type 50 wpm, Must be able to use fax, copier, scanning machine, Must be willing to learn new equipment and processes quickly, Must be self-motivated, a team player, proven customer satisfaction skills, excellent Communication skills, familiarity with medical terminology, familiarity with medical office processes and procedures, Experience with FMLA/Disability forms is required
What You'll Do.
Process FMLA/Short Term Disability paperwork
Communicate with patients and physician coordinators
Process medical record requests for clients
Complete FMLA/Disability forms
Answer incoming calls
capturing call data on Excel tracking
Validate and process all incoming requests for PHI
Ensure patient's disability forms are completed
Pull patients forms and PHI requests
Monitor all EMR accounts
Verify patient information
Conduct quality screenings on incoming PHI
Verify requesting party contact information
Update and maintain an Accounting of Disclosure Log
