JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Forklift Operator will operate an industrial forklift truck and Stand-Up Forklift to accomplish various materials handling assignments. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform order filler and checker duties. _This job description reflects the current assignment of essential functions and is not meant to be all-inclusive. Duties and responsibilities may be assigned or reassigned to this job at any time and may be modified to reasonably accommodate an individual with a disability or for other reasons._ ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:** * Identifies and transports requested materials to and from various locations including machines, loading docks, trucks, and storage areas. * Obtains production schedule and/or shipping orders and then identifies, verifies, and transports requested raw materials, equipment, or processing materials accordingly. * Applies understanding of machine loading capacity and loading schedule, ensuring prompt and efficient delivery of required items. * Uses protective materials and strapping equipment to protect and secure loads and for other duties as needed. * Removes strapping and wrapping for delivered materials then safely disposes of waste materials in designated containers or areas. * Reports any problems with materials or transportation to supervisor. * Manages and piles drums, skids, pallets, and other supplies in specified areas. * Services equipment as needed, reporting mechanical or electrical difficulties t
