What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Valid Ministère de l’Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation du Quebec (MAPAQ) food safety certification required, 3 Years Related Experience
Nice to Have
degree in Culinary Arts, Food Safety, Hospitality Management or related field
What You'll Do.
Manage continuous improvement of food service operations
operational efficiency
and service excellence
Conduct audits of food service operations
Evaluate food handling
and sanitation practices
Document findings and recommendations
Collaborate to implement corrective actions
Ensure timely repairs and maintenance of food service equipment
Track and report on maintenance issues
Provide training and guidance on food safety
Support operational planning and documentation
Liaise with Human Resources and other departments
Lead development and implementation of food safety audit frameworks
Analyze audit data to identify systemic issues
Prepare reports and recommendations for senior management
Serve as a subject matter expert on food safety
Participate in cross-departmental initiatives
Ensure alignment of food service operations with policies
Contribute to development and revision of internal policies
Represent Food and Dining Services in committees
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Liaise with internal departments; Work closely with SHHS Facilities and McGill FMAS; Collaborate with chefs, food managers, and service staff; Liaising with SHHS Facilities and McGill FMAS; Liaise with Human Resources and other departments; advising leadership and cross-functional teams; Participate in cross-departmental initiatives; Represent Food and Dining Services in institutional committees and working groups; Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with unionized staff
Communication Scope
Excellent communication; bilingual; preparing and presenting reports to senior leadership and external regulatory bodies
Process & Methodology
