What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or equivalent, 3+ years of proven experience in the design of aerospace fluid or mechanical systems, Experience in 3D CAD programs (Creo preferred), Proficiency in crafting engineering drawings with GD&T (ASME Y14.5), Experience performing flow and pressure calculations as well as structural and thermal analysis of fluid systems, Proven understand of fluid components such as valves, tubing, and pressurized hardware, Hands-on experience building and testing mechanical assemblies or pressurized components/systems, Develop and maintain interface definitions between the vehicle and subsystems, Knowledge of standard installation and fabrication methods of fluid systems (tube stock, fittings, connections, fasteners, welding, etc.), Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communications skills
Nice to Have
Advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering field, Hands-on experience building and testing mechanical assemblies or pressurized components/systems, Knowledge and experience with hypergolic systems
What You'll Do.

Design and/or create specifications for fluid/gas components i. e.
Develop and maintain interface definitions between fluid systems and other vehicle subsystems
Design and analyze custom components for fluid
and structural applications
Perform component verification of internally and externally sourced components to company standards

The position will work under a senior engineer accountable for the Helium storage and distribution within the Gas and Thrusters (G&T) team for a Lunar Permanence Vehicle. You will be responsible for design, analyses, procurement, installation, and test of the components and sub-assembly systems for the Helium sub-system. The position will be responsible for valves, bottles, filters, sensors, piping and other fluids equipment for this portion of this sub-system. Our team will size, select materials, and analyze components for structural integrity due to pressure, vibration, fracture, fatigue, etc. You will work with suppliers or Blue Origin groups to identify components and support procurement, fabrication, and installation.
