What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5+ years of mechanic experience with IC engines, propane, electrical and hydraulic experience, High school diploma or GED required, Mechanic’s tools of trade, Excellent trouble-shooting skills, Ability to prioritize work assignments, Ability to work independently, Ability to be flexible regarding work assignments, Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, High degree of safety-awareness, Working knowledge of equipment design and safety requirements
Nice to Have
Some trade school or equivalent training desired, Prior floor care equipment experience strongly preferred
What You'll Do.
Perform all levels of repair
Dismantle and reassemble/rebuild equipment
Fabricate parts and equipment
Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical equipment problems
Keep track of rental equipment inventory
Coordinate deliveries
Maintain warehouse area
Source and manage inventory of parts and supplies
Complete and maintain equipment service records
Ensure decals are replaced and equipment is cleaned
Operate company vehicle safely
Maintain company vehicles
Report defects or variations to supervisor
Maintain and track company tools
Oversee and maintain wash bay area
Communicate professionally with customers and employees
Complete paperwork for deliveries
Direct customers to sign appropriate
Deliver and install rented equipment
Train authorized operator on safe use of equipment
Implement and execute proper and safe procedures
Maintain accurate records and tracking of equipment
Be on call for emergency service
Clean and test returned equipment
Troubleshoot and understand equipment operation
Understand advanced electrical motors and controls

Coordinate with the leadership team; Communicate professionally with managers and fellow employees; Work with managers, Equipment Rental Specialists, and Sales Engineers
