What You'll Achieve.

Excellent trouble-shooting skills; Diagnoses complex mechanical and electrical equipment problems; Successfully troubleshoots and completely understands the operation, function, specifications, capabilities, and controls of any piece of rental equipment
Must provide mechanic’s tools of trade, Operates company vehicle safely and maintains a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record free from points, Is on call for emergency service and is available on a rotating schedule for emergency service response calls on weekends and evenings, Delivers and installs rented equipment, Trains authorized operator (and/or customer) on safe use of equipment
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5+ years of mechanic experience with IC engines, propane, electrical and hydraulic experience, High school diploma or GED required, Must possess a high degree of safety-awareness, Working knowledge of equipment design and safety requirements
Nice to Have
some trade school or equivalent training desired, Prior floor care equipment experience strongly preferred
What You'll Do.
Perform all levels of repair
Dismantle and reassemble/rebuild equipment
Fabricate parts and equipment as required to meet shop and customer needs
Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical equipment problems
Keep track of rental equipment (inventory) and coordinate deliveries
and service calls with customers
Maintain warehouse area
and install all necessary parts to ensure the standards are met
Source and manage the inventory of parts and supplies
Complete and maintain equipment service records including damage repair
preventative maintenance
and warranty processing
Ensure decals are replaced and equipment is cleaned
Operate company vehicle safely and maintain a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record free from points
Keep records and maintain company vehicles
oil changes and general safety
Maintain and track company tools
Oversee and maintain wash bay and wash bay area to ensure proper maintenance
preventative maintenance

Clean and test returned equipment making sure operation and appearance is up to standards
Troubleshoot and completely understand the operation
and controls of any piece of rental equipment
Understand advanced electrical motors and controls and their operations
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Coordinate with the leadership team; Communicate professionally with customers, managers, and fellow employees to schedule deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls; Works with managers, Equipment Rental Specialists, and Sales Engineers to maintain accurate records and tracking of in-stock and rented equipment
