What They're Looking For.
Must Have
EEC Teacher Certification, CDA, or equivalent degree and/or experience required, Daycare experience in a center-based or private school setting, Availability to work Monday through Friday with flexibility to work between 6:30 am and 5:30 pm, Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children, Ability to lift up to 50lbs, Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday, Attentiveness, time management, and a team-focused mindset

What You'll Do.
Providing substitute coverage when Teachers are either out sick
completing planning time
in need of a bathroom break
or any other coverage throughout the day.
Assisting Classroom Teachers with the routine opening/closing of the classroom
including but not limited to wiping down the toys
sanitizing the room (after all children have left)
and overall preparation of the classroom for the next morning.
Providing classroom assistance to support teachers as needed throughout the day
including but not limited to preparing materials for classroom lesson plans
engaging with students in free play
assisting with daily projects
supervising/zoning during outdoor time
helping with bathroom needs and diapering
snack and lunch time assistance (heating up lunches
helping open containers
Adhering to the daily classroom schedule while assisting teachers.
Maintaining cleanliness of the school throughout the day including
cleaning staff kitchen areas
staff and classroom bathrooms
using the zono-machine (if applicable to your school)
emptying trash and disposing in dumpster
assist with laundry and organizing/putting away nap mats.
Encouraging children's participation by providing age-appropriate interactive activities.
Maintaining EEC required professional development hours and PQ registry.
Attending monthly staff meetings.
Creating a fun and safe learning environment.
Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students and parents.
