Flight Operations Engineer (Associate or Mid Level) (Flight Operations) **Company:** The Boeing Company **Boeing Commercial Airplane (BCA)** Customer Support is hiring **Flight Operations Engineer (Associate or Mid Level)** to join the Airplane Flight Manual (AFM) team in **Seal Beach, CA.** Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Mid-Level Flight Operations Engineers. **Primary Responsibilities:** * Develops, maintains and obtains regulatory agency approval for Airplane Flight Manual data necessary for the safe and efficient operation of Boeing airplanes * Investigates and analyzes engineering databases, documents, specifications, and change paper to determine customer airplane configurations * Uses basic aerodynamic knowledge along with a knowledge of certification requirements and customer expectations to prepare Airplane Flight Manuals using web-based document authoring applications * Coordinates review of the AFM with Engineering- Unit Members and regulatory agency personnel to assure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements * Support/contribute to the development of new and existing technologies, tools, and processes to enhance technology readiness and reduce cycle time and cost of authoring **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):** * Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry * 2 or more years' related work experience **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):** * 5 or more years' related work experience * Experience working with the FAA and foreign regulatory agencies * Knowledge of aerodynamics, airplane performance, flight test, and certification * Experience in developing regulatory manuals and technical service documentation **Typical Education/Experience:** (Level 2) Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education
