Full Job Description

We are searching for a talented candidate with experience in launch vehicle systems engineering, Guidance, Navigation, & Control (GNC) systems engineering, payload requirements definition, and launch vehicle mission planning. In this position, a successful candidate would serve as a GNC Systems Engineer in support of Amazon Leo’s Launch Vehicle Mission Management team to collect technical requirements in support of large launch vehicle development contracts. In this role, a candidate would facilitate technical exchanges from the GNC Flight Dynamics and Attitude Determination and Control teams and the Mission Management teams supporting launch vehicle contracts with multiple vendors. Familiarity with launch vehicle and satellite trajectory and attitude control topics are important, as this role is technical and requires strong organization and communication skills across multiple teams. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Key job responsibilities Strong analysis skills are required to develop engineering studies of complex large-scale dynamical systems. This position requires demonstrated expertise in computational analysis automation and tool development. Working with the Leo engineering team, you will: • Facilitate technical data exchange in support of Interface Control Document development • Collate Mission Management technical requests for GNC engineering • Support Mission Management schedule development for individual launch campaigns for multiple vendors. • Develop a common technical GNC engineering baseline of requirements across all launch vehicle programs. • Manage engineering trades as needed for various launch vehicle mission designs. • Support Leo’s Launch Vehicle Mission Management team with technical expertise in Launch Vehicle trajector
