Must Have
High school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years prepress experience, 3+ years plate production experience, Offset CTP experience, Digital flexo plate systems experience, Working knowledge of AM screening, Working knowledge of FM screening, Working knowledge of hybrid screening, Understanding of trapping, Understanding of overprint settings, Understanding of prepress fundamentals, Ability to lift 30–50 lbs
Nice to Have
Experience in packaging printing, Experience in label printing, Familiarity with color management systems, Experience with flexo workflows, Experience with flexo screening technologies, Knowledge of UV ink press requirements, Knowledge of water-based ink press requirements, Knowledge of solvent ink press requirements, Basic mechanical troubleshooting ability
What You'll Do.
Operate CTP Heidelberg Suprasetter
Output plates from workflows
Inspect plates for defects
Inspect plates for quality
Maintain processor chemistry
Maintain plate inventory
Operate Esko flexo plate imagers
Process digital flexo plates
Verify correct relief depth
Verify correct dot structure
Measure plate thickness
Measure plate hardness
Mount plates to sleeves
Mount plates to cylinders
Ensure compliance with dot gain
Ensure compliance with screening
Ensure compliance with color standards
Perform plate inspections
Coordinate with press operators
Resolve plate-related issues
Maintain consistent file-to-plate accuracy
