As a Dredging Fleet Trainee at Boskalis in Papendrecht, you contribute to projects that have a visible and lasting impact. What you can expect As a trainee, you contribute your technical knowledge to the core dredging process by supporting engineering and operational projects, ensuring reliable vessel performance, and assisting with maintenance, upgrades and daily operations within the fleet. Your work combines technical problem-solving with hands-on involvement. This means working in the office on planning and coordination, as well as going on site or abroad to support projects in practice. You won’t be behind a desk all day — you will be close to the vessels, equipment and operations that make projects happen. Depending on your assignment, you could be involved in large international projects such as the construction of new ports, land reclamation projects or coastal protection works. Recent examples include the development of Manila International Airport in the Philippines and coastal protection projects in the Maldives.
