What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, Experience analyzing test data and make engineering judgments regarding pass/fail compliance, Experience interpreting OEM requirements (Airbus, Boeing, etc. ) and ensure alignment with internal certification processes, Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, parts lists, and material certifications, Experience with configuration of control principles and document release processes (e. g. , PDM/PLM systems)

Nice to Have

Familiarity with standard aviation materials, Prior working experience in the aerospace industry, specifically with aircraft interiors, Prior experience reviewing and approving drawings, written and verbal communication skills include the ability to prepare and give presentations, Demonstrated ability to work effectively and productively with team members and cross functional teams, Ability to work proficiently in Microsoft Office Suite applications and engineering related software programs

Performs collaborative engineering assignments usually represent a significant portion of a larger project

Represents the Flammability Certification team in internal technical design reviews

Compiles FAA certification documentation for submission to commercial aircraft OEM's and regulatory agencies

Responsible for the review and approval of design changes from a certification perspective

Performs new design analysis and material recommendations based on data

Provides technical leadership to a small group of temporarily assigned engineers and technicians

Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints

Participates in defining engineering approaches and in planning/scheduling work
