What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Food Safety Certificate, OFA 3 Certificate, Ability to pass the Drug and Alcohol and Health Assessment, Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check, Minimum 3 years’ experience in the hospitality / food service industry, Minimum 1 year prior experience as a First/Sous Cook in hotels, resorts, restaurants and/or camps, Must obtain a 80% make or higher on the mandatory WHMIS test

What You'll Do.

Preparing and cooking all main meals

Ensuring all meals are prepared and served on time

Maintaining a safe working environment

Following all safety controls related to Covid

Providing excellent and consistent service

Maintaining a clean and organized workstation

Preparing all proteins and entrée items

Preparing other menu items

Presenting and maintaining menu items

Completing all HACCP and Production logs

Labelling and dating of all products

Removing all used pots

Performing end-of-shift cleaning

Completing all weekly and monthly cleaning tasks

Removing garbage from workstation

Receiving and storing all supplies

Team & Collaboration

The First Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking all main meals as per requirements; and ensuring all meals are prepared and served on time to the highest standards of Horizon North.
