The team focuses on delivering high-performance and reliable firmware for enterprise and cloud environments, working closely with hardware, validation, and system engineering teams. **Position Overview** As a Firmware Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will build high-performance controller firmware for volatile and non-volatile memory systems. You will support the evaluation, development, testing, debugging, and failure analysis of firmware for next-generation memory controllers and Data Center Solid State Drives (SSD). You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve product development issues, triage failures, and isolate firmware and system-level issues. **Responsibilities** * Develop, test, and debug embedded firmware for Data Center SSD controllers and memory systems * Analyze firmware behavior, troubleshoot failures, and perform root-cause analysis * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, reproduce, and resolve product issues * Contribute to firmware validation, integration, and performance optimization activities * Participate in code reviews, bug tracking, and continuous improvement of development processes **Minimum Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience * Experience or academic background in embedded firmware development * Programming experience in Python and familiarity with at least one system-level language (e.g., C/C++) * Knowledge of scripting language
