Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Diploma in Fire Protection Engineering Technology, or a related discipline, 5–10 years of relevant experience in fire protection engineering or code consulting, Experience producing clear, well-structured technical reports with minimal supervision, working knowledge of the National Building Code of Canada (NBCC), National Fire Code of Canada (NFCC), and applicable provincial codes, Knowledge of relevant fire protection standards, including UL/ULC, NFPA, and CSA, Understanding of life safety principles, fire-resistance requirements, and integrated code compliance, Ability to communicate complex code concepts to non-technical stakeholders, Ability to support multi-disciplinary projects in regulated environments, Eligibility to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance, Valid driver’s license
Nice to Have
Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) or eligibility for licensure, Knowledge of nuclear codes and standards, CSA N293, N393, and related regulatory frameworks, UL Solutions Integrated System Testing Certification (CAN/ULC-S1001)

Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams; Coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical teams; Interface with clients, authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs), and third-party reviewers
