What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, 4-5 years of relevant experience in data analysis, Proficiency in Python, Proficiency in SQL, Proficiency in BI tools, Proficiency in Google Data Products, Experience with Google Data Products including BigQuery, Experience with AWS Data Products such as Athena and Redshift, Experience with Databricks for analysis, 4 to 5 years of working knowledge with BI tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau), 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience with Python, especially in handling semi/unstructured data and REST API integration, 3 to 4 years of experience working with relational databases like Google Big Query, AWS Athena, AWS Redshift, or MySQL/RDBMS, with a focus on writing optimized queries, 2 years of experience with Google BigQuery, 2 years of experience with AWS S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Ability to interpret cloud cost and usage data and trends to make informed recommendations, Experience with financial reporting and analysis, Familiarity with Agile project approaches (Scrum/ Kanban) and tools such as Jira

Preferred certifications in Google Cloud Platform, Preferred certifications in BI Tools, Preferred certifications in FinOps, Preferred certifications in Cloud Finance
What You'll Do.
Preparing and delivering complex data products and analysis based on Cloud Service usage
Preparation of ad hoc reports and insights
development and ongoing maintenance of high quality “always on” reporting/ decision support capabilities in tools including PowerBI and Anaplan
Design reports in PowerBI and other platforms as needed as well as analytical data sets
Present and maintain reports to meet ongoing business needs
Work with internal Engineering
Finance and Product teams to ensure that FinOps data products continue to meet stakeholder needs
Work with internal Engineering
IT and Product teams to make sure they are aware of FinOps’ data needs and that they are prioritized and delivered in a timely fashion
Document and maintain Anaplan FinOps data products including data sets
Assist in the development and maintenance of budgets and forecasts for cloud services
Track performance against budget with actuals
Perform regular reviews with stakeholders to ensure financial
business and capacity goals are met
Develop and maintain data models as needed to support business requirements
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Collaborate with stakeholders to design reports; Work closely within the FinOps team, Finance, Engineering, AoA, and as needed with data scientists/ analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality data products, reports and analysis
Communication Scope
Excellent communication skills; Ability to tell stories with data; Ability to shed light on complex technical issues to non-technical audiences; Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders and suppliers

Your Impact The FinOps Data Analyst will be responsible for preparing and delivering complex data products and analysis based on Cloud Service usage, cost, and revenue data as specified by Anaplan Engineering and Business teams. This will include the preparation of ad hoc reports and insights as well as the design, development and on going maintenance of high quality “always on” reporting/ decision support capabilities in tools including PowerBI and Anaplan. The candidate will have hands-on experience with Google and AWS Data Products, analysis tools including SQL, Python, PowerBI and Databricks as well as familiarity with Cloud Services from major providers such as AWS, GCP and Azure.
