Must Have
1-2 years of leading small to medium sized teams, preferably in operations, Good understanding of the regulatory framework surrounding KYC/AML/Fraud/Risk and financial crime prevention, Familiar with money laundering methods and other financial crime trends, Can build and maintain an environment where your team is incentivised to make decisions and apply a risk-based approach to their work, Punctual, independent, proactive and willing to get things done, Operational management and tactical decision-making skills, Can work with tight deadlines under pressure whilst maintaining high level of quality and competency, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, organisational skills, great time management, and ability to work in a fast paced and high pressure environment, Ability to multi-task and take responsibility in challenging situations, Capable of identifying gaps in policies and processes and providing detailed feedback, including examples when possible, through the established communication channels, Process-oriented and efficiency-driven mindset, Proven track record of taking individual ownership and responsibilities as well as being a great team-player, Ability to deliver constructive, well-evidenced feedback that drives tangible behavioral change and performance improvement, Ability to analyze and move of team’s metrics
Nice to Have
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or related field, ICA, CAMS, or equivalent certification (KYC/EDD/AML/Fraud/Screening/Risk focused), Ability to use analytics tools like, looker, superset, or other similar platforms
What You'll Do.
Develop and oversee daily operations of FinCrime Analysts
Ensure effective mitigation of financial crime risks
Maintain operational efficiency and regulatory compliance
Foster a high-performing team and drive operational excellence
Act as subject matter expert in KYC/AML/Fraud/Screening
Ensure team meets performance targets and quality standards
Contribute to continuous improvement within FinCrime Operations
Build and refine processes prioritizing customer impact
Support development of compliant and scalable processes
Understand financial crime risks associated with customers
driving customer-focused mindset
Build and nurture high-performing teams
Coach and develop FinCrime Operations Analysts
and actionable feedback
Coach and mentor team members for growth
Design and manage performance or development plans
Conduct career map check-ins
Oversee daily operations
ensuring adherence to regulations
Identify and propose process and tooling improvements
Collaborate with central functions and operational teams
Provide guidance on complex
Manage timely admin related tasks
Measure team and individual KPIs
Drive high-quality results for team and individuals
Conduct timely quality reviews
Conduct regular and impactful one on one coaching sessions
Ensure tasks are managed timely and aligned with goals
Run team meetings to share best practices
Address underperformance promptly through coaching
Understand how to move key metrics
Be a subject matter expert in financial crime areas
Maintain comprehensive understanding of regulatory obligations
Apply a risk-based approach to deterring financial crime
Perform and support deep dives
Assist senior leadership with reviews
