High school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years’ experience in healthcare billing, 2+ years’ experience in patient accounts, 2+ years’ experience in insurance claims, 2+ years’ experience in revenue cycle management, Proficiency with EHR/CRM systems, Proficiency with payment processing, Microsoft Office/Google Suite skills, Understanding of HIPAA compliance, Understanding of PCI compliance, Understanding of insurance terminology
Nice to Have
Associate’s degree preferred, Bachelor’s degree preferred, Experience in a telehealth environment, Experience in a multi-state environment, Experience in a large outpatient provider environment, Familiarity with revenue cycle improvement initiatives, Familiarity with patient financial counseling, Bi-Lingual Communication Skills (English/ Spanish)

JOB TITLE: FINANCIAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST FULL-TIME NON-EXEMPT DIRECT HIRE REMOTE IN THE UNITED STATES (MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 8AM-5PM CENTRAL TIME ZONE HOURS) TARGET PAY RANGE: $20-25HR W2 + FULL BENEFITS We’re a fast-growing, fully remote healthcare organization on a mission to improve access to care—and we know our people make that possible. We are seeking a Financial Support Specialist who will be responsible for providing a positive financial experience by resolving inquiries on charges, insurance and payments with clarity & empathy. About Expressable Expressable is a virtual speech therapy practice on a mission to transform care delivery and expand access to high-quality services, serving thousands of clients since our inception in late 2019. We are passionate advocates of parent-focused intervention. Our e-learning platform contains thousands of home-based learning modules authored by our clinical team, helping SLPs empower caregivers to integrate speech therapy techniques into their child’s daily life and improve outcomes. The Financial Support Specialist is responsible for responding to patient inquiries related to billing and insurance, processing payments, resolving denied or delayed claims in coordination with revenue cycle teams, documenting interactions in compliance with HIPAA/PCI, and meeting performance metrics for responsiveness and resolution.
