safeguard the stability and integrity of the organisation’s operation in the AU/NZ (Pacific) region; supporting the development of enterprise risk and broader regional financial risk initiatives; supporting the delivery of the Pacific risk management strategy; identify and evaluate risks specific to the Pacific and broader APAC region; oversee the development and implementation, including annual review, of the local Capital Management Plan, Liquidity Management Policy, Business Plan, and Exit Plan; Provide timely and accurate financial risk reports and updates to senior management and the board of directors, highlighting key risk exposures, trends, and emerging risks in the Pacific region; assess their impact on the organisation's risk profile and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies; enhance risk monitoring, reporting, and decision-making processes; design and implement effective financial risk mitigation strategies, controls and action plans; Monitor the effectiveness of controls and recommend enhancements as necessary; Monitor the delivery of remediation actions and risk management projects

What They're Looking For.
Must Have
6+ years of financial services experience, second line risk management experience, first line experience working within the 3LOD model, understanding of financial risks, i. e. liquidity, market and credit risks, Right to work in Australia
Nice to Have
preferably in the banking / payments / fintech sector with a focus on the Pacific region, Background in prudential regulatory risks, including stress testing
What You'll Do.

Conduct regular financial risk assessments and stress tests to identify and evaluate risks specific to the Pacific and broader APAC region
Prepare ICAAP report for Wise Australia
and oversee the development and implementation
including annual review
of the local Capital Management Plan
Liquidity Management Policy
Provide timely and accurate financial risk reports and updates to senior management and the board of directors
highlighting key risk exposures
and emerging risks in the Pacific region
Work closely with product teams to review the control environment related to product changes
new products and market launches

Monitor and analyse regional market trends

Job Description We are seeking a capable and enthusiastic Financial Risk Manager to join our team in Australia. The Financial Risk Manager will report directly to the country CRO, providing support and second line financial risk management advice and oversight of the risk identification, assessment and mitigation effort to safeguard the stability and integrity of the organisation’s operation in the AU/NZ (Pacific) region.
