Financial Operations Manager ABOUT THE JOB Company Intro: TurbineOne is a fast-moving and high-performance startup with a mission to strengthen situational awareness for all Americans serving at our nation’s frontlines - and we are backed by the best DefenseTech venture capitalists. Our Frontline Perception System is an edge-first software platform that allows anyone, even with no technical knowledge, to build and use machine learning models within a comms-contested tactical environment. The Role: We are looking for a results oriented Financial Operations Manager who thrives at the intersection of financial precision and strategic scaling. You will be the "engine room" of our finance department—responsible for the integrity of our general ledger, the efficiency of our daily spend and the evolution of our financial systems. You will be a strategic guardian of our resources, helping us to balance flexibility and discipline as we transition into an institutional-grade defense-tech leader. The ideal candidate is a team player with a “grab an oar” mentality and an ability to adapt and learn as the requirements of the role evolve. Primary responsibilities: Orchestrate the Close: Lead and support the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting that meets the rigorous standards of our Board and stakeholders. Reporting Excellence: Ensure the accuracy of all financial statements, providing the leadership team with the clear, data-backed insights needed to make high-stakes decisions. Operational Gatekeeping: Manage day-to-day expense approvals, ensuring all spend—from travel and flight bookings to vendor payments—aligns with our internal policies and reflects "best judgment" for company dollars. Data Integrity: Maintain an accurate general ledger of transactions and reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies with surgical precision. AR/AP processing: Develop a scalable process and ensure prompt execution for processing receivables an
