What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, understanding of GAAP, financial statements, internal controls, and month-end close
Nice to Have
CPA preferred but not required, Prior Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or senior finance role experience preferred, Experience in a growth-stage company, equipment business, renewable energy, manufacturing, distribution, construction, or project-based business strongly preferred, Experience managing human resources, information technology, and office administration staff a plus, Experience with inventory, landed cost, project accounting, sales commissions, or multi-entity/international transactions is a plus
What You'll Do.
Oversee day-to-day accounting functions
Manage banking and finance actions
Handle foreign currency transactions
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Oversee multi-national payrolls
Manage expense reporting
Own the company’s general ledger
Perform month-end close
Perform account reconciliations
Prepare financial statements
Maintain accurate books
and annual financial reports
Assist with monthly VAT reporting
Assist with audit coordination
Assist with income tax filings
Support CEO and senior leadership
Prepare annual budgets
Prepare financial forecasts
Prepare cash flow projections
Establish and maintain internal controls
Improve financial processes
Improve reporting cadence
Improve approval workflows
Improve documentation
Coordinate with outside accountants
Coordinate with tax advisors
Coordinate with auditors
Coordinate with payroll providers
Coordinate with insurance brokers
Coordinate with professional advisors
