What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), at least 3 years PQE, track record in insurance, financial services, or a regulated industry, Solid technical accounting knowledge and experience leading month-end close and reporting, Hands-on experience with accounts receivable and credit control processes, Exceptional organisational skills with meticulous attention to a self-starter, communication skills, able to explain financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders, A process mindset: motivated by building simple, scalable, and effective financial processes, Energy, ambition, and a desire to deliver change

Nice to Have

Previous experience in an insurance MGA or insurtech environment, Experience leading or supporting finance transformation initiatives, Exposure to modern finance tools, automation, or AI applications in finance

What You'll Do.

Oversee a team responsible for completion of all day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable

Produce monthly management accounts and statutory reporting

Manage FCA reporting and support regulatory obligations

Own the audit process

We now insure hundreds of fleets in the UK, including the likes of Amazon, DPD, Uber and Bolt.   We've now raised over £50M and our goal is to become the leading insurance company for connected and autonomous vehicles, and we're building a world-class team to help us get there.   THE ROLE    We are looking for an ambitious, high-achieving hands-on Financial Controller to take ownership of our core accounting and financial control processes, and to drive improvements across the finance function.   Reporting directly into the VP of Finance, this is a career-defining opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping Flock’s financial operations as we scale.
