What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Associate degree and a minimum of 3 years’ previous sales, sales administration, or retail banking experience, or in lieu of a degree a combined minimum of 5 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ previous sales, sales administration, or retail banking experience
Nice to Have
FINRA Series 6 or Series 7 and Series 63 licenses, Pertinent state Life/Variable Insurance (LAH) licenses, FINRA Series 65 or 66 licenses as appropriate
What You'll Do.
Conducts a needs analysis of current and potential customers
and closes sales opportunities
Prepare recommendations for customized financial solutions
Sell and close these with some oversight and support
Meet or exceed established sales goals
Increase assets under management by offering investment and insurance solutions
Support partnerships/relationships with Retail and Business Banking
Deliver a high-quality customer service experience
Ensure accuracy in completing required paperwork
Regularly review customer information to ensure compliance with BSA
AML and KYC requirements
Address issues of non-compliance
Maintain customer appointment activity log
Maintain and build referral channel and partnerships
Conduct joint appointments and work collaboratively with Retail branch staff
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards
Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management
Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand
Maintain M&T internal control standards
Complete other related duties as assigned

Support partnerships/relationships with Retail and Business Banking; Conduct joint appointments and work collaboratively with Retail branch staff; critical partnerships include the wealth team, the commercial lending team as well as centers of influence and existing clients
