Professionally designated accountant, 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills

Experience in Power, Infrastructure or Mining, Proficient with information systems (Workday Finance, Wdesk and FCCS is an asset), Experience with IFRS 16 leases and US GAAP is an asset

What You'll Do.

Oversees all financial accounting and reporting needs for renewable power operating facilities

Manages all financial needs of the operating facilities

Participates in process improvement projects and proactive problem solving

Performs month-end close activities

Prepares monthly facility reports and cash flow forecast

Prepares quarterly lender reports and distributions

Prepares quarterly reporting packs

Conducts impairment trigger assessments

Develops quarterly board materials

Prepares annual audited financial statements

Manages supporting documentation

Assists with year-end audit and quarterly reviews

Collaborates with Operations and FP&A team to support the annual operating budget process

Assists in the preparation and maintenance of financial models

Tracks project cost spending

Updates monthly construction project cost model

Manages monthly loan drawdown package to lenders

Manages weekly withdrawal certificate of restricted project bank accounts

Assists with conversion of renewable facilities from constructions to operations

Manages internal and external audit requirements for renewable assets

Working closely with senior management, operations, corporate finance, FP&A, and other functional groups; Collaborate with Operations and FP&A team; Gaining a thorough understanding of the operations of the facilities; Assisting other departments in understanding key business drivers; Presenting financial results to partners

The Financial Analyst oversees all financial accounting and reporting needs for renewable power operating facilities. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting, you will play a key role in managing all financial needs of the operating facilities. You will also have the opportunity to participate in process improvement projects and proactive problem solving while working closely with senior management, operations, corporate finance, FP&A, and other functional groups. This position will be based in our Toronto Head Office. Additionally, this role will be 4 days in office per week, with one flexible day available for employees to work from home. ### Key Responsibilities * Perform month-end close activities, prepare monthly facility reports and cash flow forecast, including forecasting, variance analysis, and tracking of operational metrics.
