# **Financial Advisor (Western NY Market)** **\- Tonawanda and surrounding areas** ## **Build your book with a strong referral network.** M&T Bank is hiring a **Financial Advisor** to grow and manage a book of business in the Catonsville market. This role offers access to a robust referral network across Retail, Business Banking, and Wealth partners—giving you the opportunity to focus on what you do best: building relationships and delivering advice-based solutions. **What You’ll Do** * Build and grow a book of business through referrals, new client development, and a defined territory of retail branch partnerships * Deliver personalized **investment and insurance solutions** aligned to client goals * Partner with branch, business banking, and wealth teams to generate consistent opportunities * Conduct portfolio reviews and recommend tailored strategies to grow and protect assets * Manage the full client lifecycle—from discovery to long-term relationship management **What You Bring** * 4+ years of **investment and/or insurance sales experience** * Proven track record growing client relationships and assets under management * Strong business development and networking skills * Ability to work independently while leveraging internal partnerships **Licenses Required** * Series 7, 63, and 65 or 66 * Life/Variable Insurance license **Education and Experience Required:** Combined minimum of 6 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 4 years’ investment or insurance sales experience FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 or 66 licenses Pertinent state Life/Variable Insurance (LAH) licenses **Education and Experience Preferred:** Previous trust/fiduciary product, Financial Planning, Managed Accounts, or insurance experience CFP (Certified Financial Planner), CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) and/or ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) designation **Why Join M &T** * Established **referral network** to accelerate your book growth * Access to a broad suite of
