Within this role is responsible for performing general accounting and reinsurance activities to ensure the integrity, accuracy and completeness of accounting records, and compliance with accepted accounting standards, AIA group reporting policy and statutory and regulatory requirements. **To do this successfully you will:** * Prepare accurate and timely monthly balance sheet reconciliations, journals and general ledger adjustments for CMLAS and AIAA, including payroll, prepayments, accruals, intercompany and reinsurance accounts, with all entries supported by appropriate documentation. * Perform end‑to‑end reinsurance accounting activities, including journals, reconciliations, confirmations with related parties and ongoing operational support to the Senior Financial Accountant: Reinsurance. * Ensure timely investigation and resolution of variances, ad‑hoc queries and stakeholder requests, providing support for management reporting, statutory reporting and audit requirements. * Assist with the preparation of financial statement disclosures and respond to internal and external audit queries by providing accurate and well‑maintained workpapers. * Maintain compliance with AIA Group Financial Controls Framework, finance policies, governance standards, and ensure policies and procedures are current and effective. * Identify, implement and support process improvements, system enhancements and transformation ini
