Nice to Have

Additional relevant training, Experience working on complex awards and contracts and managing sub-awards, Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO), an international organization, and with USG funding

What You'll Do.

Oversee the financial operations of the Strengthening Infectious Disease Detection Systems (STRIDES) project in Liberia

Managing the budgeting and forecasting process for the STRIDES project

Assist with the preparation of month end financial reports

Oversee the financial systems and tools to ensure that they are effective and meet division needs

Plays a key role in risk management

developing strategies to mitigate financial risks

and fostering their development and performance

Assist with the development and management of internal financial audits

Ensure that FHI 360 Liberia complies with USG rules and regulations and Liberian laws

Oversees data collection

and interprets complex analyses for decision making

Prepare and submit monthly financial reports regarding budgets to actual and presents findings and recommendations to leadership

Finalizes financial reports and supporting documentation for funders as outlined in the funding agreement

Develop a commitment tracker to track invoices and liaise with the relevant staff to ensure routine retirement of commitments on a timely basis

Routinely review program advances (travel and non-travel)

run the advance report twice a month

make follow-up with staff for advance retirement

and ensure advances are retired within 30 days

Responsible for monitoring all budgeted project expenditure in accordance with the work plan and what has been budgeted/forecasted

Review financial data entered daily into the financial system for accuracy of charge codes and descriptions

and ensure corrections to errors are made before the close of each month

Responsible for ensuring all financial records for the project are up to date

Collaborate with the Finance Lead to determine the resources (time

etc) required to complete the project deliverables

Collaborate with Finance Lead to ensure budgets are reflective of the activities in the project workplan and reforecast as changes are made within the workplan

Participates and provides financial reporting for project annual workplan and budget planning

Works with confidential data

Collaborate with the Finance Lead to oversee overall resource allocation
