What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, Professional accounting qualification (or working towards one), Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance roles, Experience in financial management, budgeting, and reporting, Experience managing multi-project or multi-donor budgets, Experience working with financial systems and large datasets
Nice to Have
Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent), Experience with donor-funded programmes, Experience working with local partners and capacity strengthening, Experience in humanitarian or complex operating environments, Advanced Excel skills, Experience with accounting software
What You'll Do.
Comply with Street Child policies
Ensure financial governance and accountability across operations
Support programme teams to deliver activities in line
Contribute to organisational learning
Uphold high standards of integrity
Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial
Maintain accounting systems
ledgers and supporting documentation
Monitor cash and bank balances to ensure adequate
Manage cash flow planning and monthly fund requests
Ensure all financial records are complete
Review and process payments in accordance with Street
Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with financial
Ensure all financial documentation is properly filed and
Support development of country and project budgets
Work closely with programme teams to ensure realistic
Monitor expenditure against approved budgets and provide variance
Prepare monthly budget monitoring reports for management review
Support budget revisions
realignments and donor budget modification
Contribute to financial forecasting and cash flow planning
Support proposal development through preparation and review of
Prepare accurate and timely internal and donor financial
Ensure compliance with donor regulations
Monitor project expenditure against donor-approved budgets
Support programme teams in understanding donor financial requirements
Maintain financial controls and ensure adherence to organisational
financial reviews and verification exercises
Ensure all supporting documentation meets donor audit standard
Provide financial oversight and support to local implementing
Review partner budgets

Conduct partner financial monitoring visits
Support partner financial due diligence and organisational capacity
Identify financial management and compliance risks within partner
Recommend corrective actions for partner financial risks

Support partners to strengthen financial systems
